WE’RE ACCEPTING PITCHES ON A ROLLING BASIS
Writing for The Haggard is a collaborative process.
We encourage talent from a diverse range of backgrounds to submit their ideas. Students, Professionals, Academics, Experienced and Novice Writers. We value and seek a variety of talent and our editors will collaborate where needed depending on experience, suitability and concept in order to hone skill, style and growth in writing.
Though we encourage you to read our 'About' section in order to get a better understanding of our concept, ethos and mission - we look for ideas that embody a fluid approach to the world. We detach ourselves from binarized political ideologies and opt not to place ourselves on the political spectrum. Rather, we approach concepts, questions and discourse with one, fundamental and universal question “is this right?”.
Our editorial process is one that requires a writer to be happy to receive push-back on argument, and happy to give it back. Discourse doesn’t evolve if you’re always right.
The Haggard finds beauty in being able to point out the wrong - and we do not neglect the fact that we may be wrong sometimes too. If you have read an article that you disagree with we encourage you to make a pitch explaining your counter!
